Monthly Meeting Wednesday, 2 March, at 7 PM - SUMMARY
We had an excellent monthly meeting last Wednesday.
Fifteen attendees. A good turnout for our on-line meetings.
Charlie, K3SR, and Kevin, KJ4OTQ, talked about software digital radio. The world has changed. And somehow I did not really notice. There are a whole new set of technologies that can be used in amateur radio that I am unfamiliar with. At least now I know that they exist. We will try to post the presentations soon on our web site.
Other items of interest.
Virginia QSO Party is coming up on 19-20 March. If you you get on a net, please mention it to remind folks of the event.
We hope on update the member page on our web site in the immediate future. there are still some names on there who are not active in our club.
At the end of the meeting, John, KK4AHY, gave a talk on slingshot safety. Based on his experience, he provided some time to avoid getting injured and also make thing easier for yourself when putting up wire antennas. It was a good talk.
We hope to make the April monthly meeting an in-person meeting. COVID numbers are going down and we hope they stay down. It will be nice to see all in-person again.
