 Hi,

The May monthly meeting in April was a success.  13 attendees.

We had a couple of speakers. 

Rhett, WW4RL, talked about automation of licensing exams.  He took an exam using a tablet instead of paper exam booklet and sheet.  He is looking into how to do that for our club.  The world is changing.

Evan, KM4SK, talked about the upcoming ARRL grant program wherein some money is being given to clubs to promote amateur radio. Based upon last year's program, but will probably be the same for this year. 

Conrad, N4ZQA, wore his baseball cap with a SPARC logo on the front.  We used some of them as prizes for the winners of the Ham Trivia contest.  They was also available for $5 each.  And will be given free to those who come to our Field Day and make at least one QSO.

Conrad also will be putting together a purchase order for badges.  IF interested in getting a SPARC name badge, please contact hims directly.

Our activity was Ham Trivia contest.  It went very well.  I think all enjoyed it.  We divided into 4 groups of 3 each.

First round of ten questions. The winning group was Earl, KB0NRK; Henry, K2BFY, and Bud, W4KSN, with 8 correct of 10 questions.  They each won a hat.

The second round of 15 questions.  The winning team was Eric, AJ4LN; Kevin, WB0POH; and paul, KK4AIA with 10 of 15 questions correct.  They each won a hat.

Please congratulate them on their knowledge when you see then the next time.
